Since its drop in early February, Dag Savage’s debut album E & J has been on constant rotation around the crib, in my car and in my sets. Johaz (Deep Rooted) keeps listeners engaged as he shares stories of his childhood, past relationships and of course cali weather, women and weed. Exile (Dirty Science) still remains one of my favorite all time producers. Why? Well for one, he brings out the best out of all the artists he works with. Not only that, but his concecptual albums with Fashawn (Boy Meets World) and Blu (Below The Heavens) are timeless and classic pieces of material. His beats remain in a league of their own. His drums are bouncey as shit. Sample selections and chops still retaining all the dust from the record. His flexibility of beats on this project range from a dark grimey back alley steez to chillin on a beach sucking mojitos outta umbrella straws. Peep the visuals below and get
the album if you haven’t yet.
