Remember Suburbia in the 90s? Technicolor, acid wash, Discmans, middle-class kids listening to hip-hop and grunge rock and the first time Starter hats were a hit? Well, The Hundreds sure does, and for the spring of 2014 they are aiming to rekindle a little of that magic with a release that is literally for the ages. Seen in this collection are a handful of pieces that clearly and intentionally pay homage to the period in most of our lives when we really started to develop a personal taste for things. Plenty of snapbacks and jackets are a part of this make-up that would have been the cats meow two decades ago.
With both vibrant colors and solid basics to be had, spring 2014 appears to be another solid offering from one of the longest standing names in streetwear and urban-inspired fashion. The fits are classic Hundreds and the overall feel of the collection looks to be an extension of what we saw for the fall of 2013. Long time fans of the brand will be able to add new pieces to their wardrobes, while at the same time, casual takers-in may see this as an opportunity to dip a toe in The Hundreds pool for the first time.
The look book for the spring is again, classic Hundreds. With mastermind and creative director Bobby Hundreds at the helm, the photos showcasing this series perfectly embody the inspiration the brand was feeling in the design stages. Included in with this release is a behind the scenes look at the shoot, which gives even more insight into the nostalgic vibe of the spring 2014 collection.
Enjoy the preview and look for The Hundreds spring to hit shelves at Apartment 3b in just a matter of weeks. Speaking of which, spring is right around the corner!
