If there were one word that could be used to describe Mitch Abshere, it would likely be ‘individual’. This is a man who follows no crowd and who definitely marches to the beat of his own drum. Between surfing, running a business, and simply going about his daily life, there are few things that Mitch does that could be considered standard issue.
Instead, what we get are things that are unique, original, and are without question built from an uncommon thread. This is why it comes as little surprise that Mitch regularly contributes to the product line for Stance, perhaps the most progressive, irregular brand on the market.
For a handful of seasons now, Stance has been creating products, which give life to one of the most traditionally mundane pieces of clothing imaginable. Often overlooked, yet at the same time one of the most necessary pieces of an outfit, the sock has been given new life thanks to creative contributors like Mitch Abshere.
Stance recently released a short video piece chronicling Abshere and presenting him in a light that offers a true reflection of the way he lives his life. It’s honest, it’s real, and at times it’s inspiring, which are all things Stance is fast becoming known for in terms of both their product and the visuals that back it.
Shot and produced in a very non-traditional way, this uncommon thread production allows you to think about your own life and reflect on what you are really getting out of it. Are you waking up in the morning and making true happiness a priority? Of course work and responsibilities are inevitable, but outside of that, do you really make time to pursue the things that can be looked back on fondly?
Next time you are getting dressed, throw on a pair of Stance socks. Even if you have to ‘suit and tie’ while you are in the workplace, they will offer you a chance to look down every so often and smile while simultaneously reminding you to continue toward a lifestyle that will ultimately leave you fulfilled and leading a life well-lived.
