Inspiration comes in many shapes, settings, and forms. In the case of Pointer Footwear it comes in the form of the space and setting the company exists in. People tend to be products of their surroundings and as a result it has become very evident that creativity breeds creativity. So it only makes sense that the best products in the urban fashion industry would come from the people who surround themselves with inspiration every day.
Recently Hypebeast sat down with Pointer’s Creative Director and Founder Gareth Skewis who took the time to speak with the Internet magazine about the choices and influences that went into one of the most forward thinking spaces in all of footwear. Choosing to work with talented people who are close to him and that he trusts has given Gareth the ability to continually push out products that are ground-breaking and trendsetting in every sense of the words.
Using every bit of space the office has to push their business, Pointer uses the front of their building to enhance commercial business and the back part of the space to conceptualize, design, create and house their footwear. It is brilliant use of space in an area of London where it seems to come at a premium and is definitely reflected in the pieces the brand puts forward.
