Nike designer, Christian Tresser designed the iconic sneaker to feature Nike's Air Sole Units. These units consist of "pressurized air inside a tough yet flexible bag [which] provides more flexibility and spring without compromising structure" (Nike). However, you can thank these Air Sole Units for keeping these sneaks lightweight yet snug on your feet.
The Nike Air Max 97' is bound to continue it's success in the sneaker realm as this retro design continues to be an influence in the sneaker evolution. Starting with the "Silver Bullet", which held a bright red Nike logo and a reflective upper has now evolved into multiple colour ways, collaborations, design changes and new collections incorporating the design into the Air Max 98'.
The Air Max 97' is an absolute must for all sneaker heads but also for those who look to keep the most iconic designs alive and worn. As one of the most versatile sneakers, you can expect to see this sneaker on any individual in any setting representing an evolution of the most iconic trainer.
You can pick up the newest release of the 97', "Have a Nike Day" in store NOW. (P.S. these won't stay on the shelves long).
